Legislative Update: AB104 Information

On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 104 into law, and we’d like to provide you with important information on how this legislation may relate to your student. Summer Work Permits

All El Camino High School students who are under the age of 18 and are working, MUST have a Summer Work Permit in order to continue your employment. Make sure you have the Request for a Work Permit COMPLETELY filled out, then call Ms. Endara between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday through July 9th. She will schedule an in-person Appt. to make an actual Work Permit for you. Her phone number is: (562) 210-2702.

Summer Inter Session 2021

Summer Inter Session at El Camino High School begins today, 6-7-21 through July 9, 2021. In-Person session is from 7:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Distance Learning support is from 11:40 a.m. through 1:13 p.m. Monday - Friday.

NLMUSD Gains Admission Area Status for CSULB

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District announced today that it has gained local admission area status for students seeking to enter California State University, Long Beach.

The designation, starting for the 2021-22 school year, means that qualified NLMUSD graduates seeking entry to CSULB as first-time freshmen or upper-division transfers will be given priority admission as local residents. Click the news article to continue reading...
