Open Enrollment Changes

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District’s Open Enrollment policy is changing
These changes apply only to students who are applying for new permits. Students who currently have approved permits, will not be affected by these changes. Please also note that this change in policy eliminates year-round Open Enrollment. The only opportunity for your student to transfer will be during the Open Enrollment period. Winter Break

El Camino High School will be observing Winter Break beginning on December 20, 2019 through January 6, 2020. School will be closed. School will resume on January 7, 2020, beginning at 7:50 a.m.

As a security measure, ALL students will be issued a Student I.D. Card during snack or lunch at no charge. Every student MUST carry their school i.d. card while on campus, to and from school and at all school activities at ALL TIMES. Ms. Endara in the Main Office can replace your Student I.D. card for $5.00 –replacement fee. I.D. cards must be turned in when withdrawing from El Camino High School.

El Camino High School will be having another Annual Blood Drive on November 6, 2019, beginning at 8:00 am through 2:00 p.m. Any minor students (16-17 yr ) MUST have a parent consent form signed prior to donation. For more information, see Mrs. Santiago, IN RM. 34.

Just a reminder to all students: On Tuesday, October 31st is a regular school day at El Camino High School. NO COSTUMES THAT COVER YOUR FACE, MASKS, FAKE WEAPONS, OR FACE PAINTING COVERING YOUR FACE of any kind are NOT allowed! The Dress Code is strictly enforced!

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 6pm - 8pm, the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District will be holding its annual College & Career Expo at Glenn High School. There are 50 + colleges scheduled to attend, 25+ businesses and many more workshops for all students. Bring your parents with you and come out and see a rep for college, trade school, technical school, military or speak to a business for information related to a job.
