The purpose of El Camino High School is to provide an alternative education for the at risk students of the Norwalk La Mirada Unified School District.  Our mission is to develop within our students an awareness of their responsibilities to become productive, contributing members of society who work enthusiastically toward their full potential.   We believe that all students can achieve.

El Camino High School is a safe, caring, humanistic, and respected place of learning.  El Camino High School involves staff, parents, business, community, and service agencies in:

  • Promoting student success and academic learning
  • Preparing students for an increasingly technological world
  • Equipping students with academic, vocational, and social skills
  • Valuing education and recognizing learning as a right with related responsibilities
  • Extending multi-cultural awareness and understanding
  • Developing active lifelong learners
  • Helping all students to develop a personal vision of their future and the ways to achieve it
